Purpose: Help guide the development of the OASIS website so that it meets the needs of users of all types. Content Guidelines agreed upon by the Steering Committee will be consulted.
Participants: Open to all OASIS users and Steering Committee members.

Web design tasks
- Continue to fine tune website performance & speed -- technical suggestions and assistance are welcome!
- Google Earth - create KML files for more data layers and submit posts to the Google Earth Community
- Eventually integrate Google-like click+drag=pan and click=identify
- Tiling/cached map images? Complicated given OASIS's multiple layers, but we're open to suggestions on how best to implement this technique
Integrate/Update data sets
- Develop a system to "consume" data provided via other web services
- Develop a system for easy integration of community-oriented data
- Add more New Jersey data
- Schools - update to more recent Dept. of City Planning Data
- Landmarks - incorporate historic landmarks data now available by NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission
Priority partner projects
- Focus on environmentally sensitive areas in the city with active communities, such as Jamaica Bay and Bronx River
- Potential partnerships through NYC Dept of Environmental Protection's education team
- Sustainable food network
- Outreach, training, more outreach, more training
